RagnaRavens WildEnergy arrived in March 2025 as Yggdrasil's rebuild of the older Raven Energy engine, and the rebuild is more aggressive than the name suggests. The cabinet is heavy bronze with gold trim. Two ravens sit perched above it. Behind reels 5 and 6 you can see a pale castle silhouette through a snow-cliff pass, and the whole thing reads as midnight in a frozen Asgard. It's a 6×3 grid running 729 ways, and importantly it pays both directions, so the 729 WAYS labels printed at both ends of the reel block aren't decoration.

The math layout is unusual. Reels 1 and 6 mostly just feed wins. All the interesting machinery sits in the middle four reels, which is honestly a strange design choice but it works. RTP defaults to 96.0%, though operators can crank it down to 94.0, 90.5 or 86.0 – and yes, you should always check that figure before spinning. Volatility runs high. Bets stretch from $0.10 up to $100, with a hard cap at 10,000x.

Now the wilds. Reels 3 and 4 ONLY land Countdown Wilds, with Thor on one side and Loki on the other, each carrying a printed 2, 3 or 4. That number is how many respins it owes you. But there's a catch: the wild only triggers if it actually participates in a winning combination on the drop it appears on. If it does, it sticks, and the counter ticks down spin by spin until it expires.

Reels 2 and 5 are where the damage really happens. Each one lands a Raven Multiplier Wild starting at x1, and every paying combo it joins bumps it up by +1. If both Ravens are on the board, both climb on the same paid spin. And if a Countdown Wild on reels 3 or 4 is part of that same winning combo, each one adds another +1 on top. There's no ceiling. The number can run as wild as the spins allow. Reset condition: any respin that produces no win.

Free spins trigger from 3 or 4 scatters on reels 2-5, awarding 7 or 10 spins. The scatter symbol drops out of the reel set for the duration, more wilds get seeded in, and crucially the Raven multiplier no longer resets on losing spins for the whole round. So one cold opening drop won't nuke what you've built. There's also a buy button at 100x bet, which lands a random 7 or 10 spins – no tier ladder, which is unusual for Yggdrasil and feels like a slightly cheap shortcut, but at least it's straightforward.

Symbol art is solid Norse fare. The highs are a red-bearded Viking king, a horned Valkyrie in a gold mask, paired axes, and a helmet with a kite shield. Lows are stylized Celtic-knot runes in red, gold, blue and green. The WildEnergy franchise has had its share of forgettable entries, but RagnaRavens isn't one of them. The interaction between the two wild types is genuinely the point here, and once a long Raven climb gets going during free spins, the math gets loud quickly.
