Pull up a chair by the cauldron. Wicked Witch is one of those late-2015 Habanero releases that feels carved out of an entirely different studio, back when the company leaned hard into atmosphere instead of mechanics. The witch's cottage sits to the left of the reels, two windows glowing radioactive green, while a bubbling cauldron to the right belches purple steam in slow, looping animation cycles. Above it all hangs a chunky stone arch with the WICKED WITCH wordmark cut in dripping blackletter, twin grimoire-vines coiling down the side columns of the cabinet.

The math is restrained for the era. Twenty fixed paylines, a 5×3 grid, no Megaways wrapper, no expanding reels, no Buy Feature button (it predates that whole trend by about two years). Coin denomination starts at one cent and climbs to a top stake of 25, which is unusually generous for a game built before Habanero standardised its stake ladders. The cap on a single spin is 250,000x, which sounds enormous until you remember this is medium volatility math, not a Hacksaw-style death-or-glory build. Expect the bigger wins to come from stacked witch symbols on reels two and four during free games rather than one miraculous base-game line.

Scatters are the cauldron, and three or more anywhere on the grid open the free spins round with a multiplier baked in. Wilds substitute for everything except the scatter, and they tend to land in stacks during the bonus, which is the polite way of saying free spins is where the math actually breathes. Underneath all of this runs a quieter energy symbol collection mechanic, ticking away in the background of every paid spin and feeding its own progression separate from the main loop. The black cat, crystal ball, potion bottle, and the witch herself fill out the high-pay roster.

Two random progressive jackpots, Grand and Minor, hang above the reels as live tickers, both eligible to drop on any paid spin without a symbol trigger. The Gamble feature is here too. Win, hit Gamble, pick red or black on the card flip, double or nothing. Old-school. The honest gripe is that 95.98% RTP sits a touch under the modern Habanero average of around 96.5%, and the energy mechanic is more decorative than impactful. But the audio loop alone is worth the visit.
