Trailblazer is what happens when Blueprint Gaming takes the dusty British fruit machine, douses it in petrol and lobs a meteor at it. Released on 24 July 2024, this is the original Trailblazer that kicked off the series, not the Irish-themed rebrand you may have spotted elsewhere on Respinix earlier today. The reels sit against a lava-and-embers backdrop, cherries and lemons share screen time with three tiers of blazing 7s, and the whole thing burns hot from the first spin.
Under the hood it's a 5×4 layout with 40 fixed paylines, all left to right. RTP lands at 95.00%, which is honestly a touch stingy for a 2024 release. But Blueprint balances that with medium-high volatility and a 5,000x max win cap that you'll only realistically hunt inside the bonus. Stakes run from 0.20 to 50 per spin, so it scales for casual players and the higher-roller crowd alike.
The signature mechanic, and the reason the slot exists, is the Trailblazer meter. Drop three Fire Orb scatters and you bag 8 Free Spins, but the reels transform first. Every fruit symbol gets stripped out, leaving only the three highest 7s plus Wilds. Each Wild in view pushes you further along the trail. Collect seven Wilds and you Level Up: more spins added, multiplier climbs. Hit level four and you're spinning with a x10 multiplier, which is where the 5,000x ceiling becomes a realistic target rather than a marketing line.
And there's a proper old-school Gamble feature bolted on too. After any base game win you can take a punt on a wheel, doubling cash or trying to upgrade straight into the Free Spins entry. It's optional, it's risky, and it's a nice nod to retro pub fruities that suits the theme perfectly.
One minor gripe: the engine is the older 1.7.0.0a build, so the UI feels slightly clunky next to Blueprint's newer 2026 releases. Animations are functional rather than slick. But the maths is sharp, the bonus actually delivers when it lands, and the Wild-trail level mechanic gives this fruit slot a hook most of its rivals lack.
