Tails Of New York is Genii's Pixar-style rodent caper that drops a 5×3 reel set right onto a Manhattan avenue, yellow cabs cruising past the lower edge and a green street sign reading “TAILS OF NEW YORK” pointing toward the next intersection. The wordplay is the whole concept. Tales becomes tails, since every inhabitant of this NYC has one.

You're getting 40 paylines, adjustable down to 1 if you want to tighten the bet. RTP sits at 96.50%, which is fine. Not generous, not stingy. Volatility isn't officially stamped on the game, but everything about the math points to high. The top 5-of-a-kind on Buddy the photographer dog (the Wild) pays 7,000 coins, and that's before the Free Spins multiplier kicks in.

About that multiplier. Three Taxi Driver scatters trigger 5 free spins at x5. Four scatters bump it to 7 spins at x7. Land five and you get 9 spins running at x9. That's an aggressive scaling curve, more aggressive than most Saucify-era Genii titles. Free Spins can't retrigger, though, so the session has a hard ceiling.

The second bonus is Chow's Run, a pick-em where Buddy snaps photos of Chow's suspicious back-alley stock until Chow spots him. Classic collect-until-caught logic, prize multiplied by your triggering bet. Worth noting: Chow's Run prizes don't get touched by the Free Spins multiplier, even if somehow stacked.

There's also a Random Wild during base play. Buddy literally takes a photo of a reel position and turns it Wild for that spin, complete with a camera-shutter SFX. It's a nice touch. Disabled during Free Spins, which feels like a missed opportunity given the high-multiplier framing, but I get the math reasoning.

Bet range runs from $0.01 to $100, which is unusually high for a Genii slot, so high-rollers have headroom. Symbols are all themed characters and props (mafia rat with a knife, Statue of Liberty rat, pizza, coffee, the NY Times), no playing cards at all. The character voice work is genuinely overproduced, in a good way. Charming little slot with surprisingly sharp teeth in the bonus.
