Slurpy by ELK Studios features a lighthearted candy theme with a focus on colorful dropping symbols and quirky collector characters. The atmosphere is one of anticipation and satisfaction as players aim to clear the grid and trigger expanding reels and bonus features.

Gameplay Mechanics

Slurpy utilizes a dropping symbol mechanic on a 5×5 grid (expandable up to 7×7) where winning combinations disappear and new symbols fall into place. Wins are awarded for symbols collected by corresponding Slurpies. Each Slurpie represents a specific payout symbol, and only symbols with a clear path to their corresponding Slurpie at the top row contribute to wins.

Bonus Features

• Collectors: Up to 3 Collector symbols can be present on the reels. Each Collector attracts and removes matching symbols from the grid, potentially triggering an increase in the grid size and the global multiplier.
• Expanding Grid: Clearing the grid of payout symbols expands the playing area, increasing the number of symbols in play and potentially revealing new Collector symbols. The maximum grid size is 7×7.
• Global Multiplier: Removing all symbols on the maximum 7×7 grid increases the global multiplier applied to all future wins.
• Bonus Game: Landing 3 Bonus symbols triggers the Bonus Game with 5 free drops. The number of Collectors, grid size, and global multiplier achieved in the base game carry over to the Bonus Game and persist between free drops. Collecting an additional Bonus symbol during the Bonus Game awards 2 extra free drops.
• Super Bonus: Triggered by landing a Super Bonus symbol instead of a regular Bonus Symbol. The Super Bonus awards the maximum 7×7 grid and 3 Collector symbols in the Bonus Game.
• X-iter Feature (Optional Purchase): Players can purchase their way into various game modes through the X-iter feature, including the Bonus Game, Coin Drop (guaranteed Coin symbols), Extra Collector (starts with 3 collectors), and Bonus Hunt (increased chance of triggering the Bonus Game).

Symbols

• Payout Symbols: Each payout symbol corresponds to a specific Collector.
• Wild Symbol: Substitutes for any paying symbol.
• Coin Symbol: Awards its value multiplied by the bet level when it has a clear path to the top row.
• Super Straw: A special Collector symbol that collects all matching payout symbols on the grid, even without a clear path to the top row.
• Long Straw: A special Collector symbol that collects one matching cluster of payout symbols that are not connected to the top row.
• Double Symbol: Connects two different payout symbols.

Interesting Feature: Second Chance Mechanic

If the Collectors in view are not matching the payout symbols and one of the other Collectors could collect all remaining symbols, a second chance feature is triggered. The leftmost Collector is removed, and a new Collector is added, potentially creating a winning opportunity. This mechanic adds an extra layer of strategy and keeps the gameplay engaging.
