Shaker Club is Yggdrasil's August 2023 release, and it trades the studio's usual fantasy stuff for something far more grown-up. Picture an upscale cocktail lounge at midnight. Silhouetted patrons hunched at a wooden bar, liquor bottles glowing purple and teal behind them, that hot pink SHAKER CLUB sign burning above the reels with two bartender icons flanking either side. The whole thing screams 1980s Miami neon-noir, and honestly, it's one of the better-looking lounge slots I've come across.
The maths sit at 96.0% RTP with high volatility on a 5×3 grid running 243 ways. Bets stretch from $0.10 up to $100, and the ceiling lands at 10,000x. Photoreal cocktail glasses fill the high-pay slots: red martini, blue tropical, lime mojito, orange garnish. Lows are stylised neon card suits, which is fine, though I do wish Yggdrasil had pushed harder there since they look a bit generic next to the gorgeous drink art. The wild is a female bartender portrait stamped pink, and she only shows up on reels 2 through 5. Reel 1 stays wild-free, which trims the hit frequency a touch.
Base game has a hidden party trick. A golden cocktail shaker drops in unannounced on any paying spin, stamping a multiplier up to X250 on your total win. There's a small shaker icon top-left of the reels that lights up when one's active. It's random, it's silent, and when it actually triggers on a stacked win, the payout is properly nasty.
Free spins are where things get spicy. Three scatters opens at X3 with 8 spins. Four scatters bumps you straight to X10, and five lands you at X25 from the jump. But before you spin, there's a pre-bonus gamble: take your starting tier, or risk it for the next one up (X3 to X10, X10 to X25). Lose the gamble? Entire bonus forfeit. No spins, no consolation, nothing. Brutal. And honestly a bit harsh for casual players who don't read the fine print.
Inside the round, the multiplier climbs +1 per spin completed. Each scatter that lands during the bonus (only on reels 2 and 4 now) adds another +1 without giving extra spins. The cap sits at X250, and once you hit it, the remaining spins keep firing at X250 without resetting.
The buy menu offers two routes. 100x stake gets you a random starting tier weighted to mirror natural scatter distribution. Or pay 600x for a guaranteed X25 maximum tier straight from spin one, skipping the gamble entirely. The 600x option is steep, but if you're chasing the 10,000x ceiling, it's the cleanest path there.
