Plunderland is Relax Gaming's January 2022 take on Alice in Wonderland, and it's not the chaotic, candy-coloured Wonderland you might expect. The presentation leans pastoral. Alice sits in her blue dress and white pinafore beside the 7×7 grid, reading on the grass while a hedge maze rolls out behind her and climbing roses frame a sun-dappled meadow. The Mad Hatter scowls from the top of the paytable, the Cheshire Cat and Caterpillar handle mid-pays, and Queen of Hearts royals plus a teacup and a small key fill the lows. Restrained, almost cosy. I actually prefer it to the surreal route most studios pick for this IP.

Mechanically it's cluster pays, 5 or more matching adjacent symbols, with tumbles after each win. The signature mechanic is the Walking White Rabbit Wild. Every cluster you land nudges the Rabbit one position closer to a central Hot Spot frame, and when he steps inside, he expands. First a 2×2, then 3×3, eventually 4×4 and 5×5 as the Hot Spot itself grows over time. It's clever, and watching the pocket-watch Rabbit edge toward the glowing centre is genuinely satisfying. However, and here's the honest gripe, the base game can drag. You'll sit through long stretches where the Rabbit is three or four squares out and nothing meaningful happens until he arrives. High volatility plus a 21.70% hit frequency means a lot of dead spins between the good stuff.

The Mad Hatter's Free Spins are where Plunderland earns its keep. Three scatters trigger 6 spins. Six. That sounds insulting on paper. But the Wild multiplier never resets during the bonus, the Hot Spot size never shrinks back, and the Walking Wild only resets to 1×1 after an expanded wild has actually contributed to a win, then it starts walking again.
