Forget reels. Orbital Rush is Riddec Games' casual arcade take on a crash mechanic, dressed up in cartoon space-adventure clothes. A small duck-astronaut in a clear bubble-helmet pod sits at the start of a curving 100-planet path stretched across a deep purple nebula, and every round comes down to a single question. When do you stop?

Each tap of SPIN advances the astronaut by exactly one planet. What sits on that planet decides everything. Five tile types make up the trajectory. Green cabbage planets carry visible multipliers running from a humble x1.2 in the opening stretch all the way up to x1000 in the final ten tiles. Each multiplier you land on multiplies your bet, and the result drops into a Piggybank Cashpot counter on the bottom right that you can cash out at any moment. Black skull planets with flickering flame on top are the crashes. Land on one with no protection and the entire uncashed Cashpot wipes. Heart pickups grant Extra Lives that absorb one skull each. Pink-purple swirling portals teleport the astronaut forward or back along the path, jumping anywhere from +10 ahead into the high-multiplier zone to -10 back to safer ground.

The clever twist is that you see the next several planets ahead. The decision to keep pushing or cash out is fully informed about what's coming directly, but you still don't know whether your luck holds long enough to reach the late stretch where the multipliers cluster at 100x, 250x, 250x, and the lone 1000x. Push too far, miss a heart, hit a skull, and the run unravels.

Bet range is 0.10 to 100 across 12 steps. No Buy Bonus, no Free Spins, no ante. 96% RTP, medium-high volatility per Riddec's official spec sheet. The underlying engine is licensed as CROSSYRUN, with the space reskin sitting on top, which explains the slightly Crossy-Road feel to the visual rhythm.

One small criticism. The cartoon vector art is genuinely cute, which sells the family-friendly vibe well, but it's a strange tonal fit for a stop-or-die crash game where every press carries real risk. The Cashpot growing in the corner while a skull lurks two tiles ahead creates honest tension that the duck-in-a-helmet art tries hard to disguise.
