Nine years old and still kicking. Luck O' The Irish Fortune Play is Blueprint Gaming's 2017 leprechaun outing, and it's the foundational title in the whole Fortune Spins (Fortune Play, if you're in the UK) family. The frame around the reels feels distinctly late-2010s, the engine underneath is an older qBridge wrapper, and yet the maths still punches harder than plenty of slots that came out last week.

The setup is as orthodox as Irish slots get. Five reels, three rows, 20 fixed paylines and a stake range from 0.10 up to 100 per spin. RTP sits at 95.05% in standard mode, ticking up slightly to 95.32% when you flip into Fortune Play. Volatility is high, rated 5 out of 5, so the rhythm is the usual story: long quiet stretches between the meaningful hits. And yes, that's the one real gripe here. The dead spins in the base game can drag, especially at higher stakes. You're really paying admission for the bonus and the Fortune mode, not the flat reels.

What carries the slot is the 50,000x max win, which is genuinely outsized for a 2017 release. Plenty of Blueprint titles from that era topped out around 1,000x or 2,000x, so seeing a cap five figures deep on an older grid is the reason this one still gets retention. Whether you ever sniff it is another question, but the ceiling is there.

The signature feature is Fortune Play itself. Pay 20x your base bet and you unlock four 5×3 reel sets spinning at the same time, with mystery symbols shared across all four grids. Land a mystery on one set, it reveals on the other three too, which is where the big hits tend to surface. Three or more scatters trigger Free Games on top, with sticky wilds and multipliers in the mix.

Visually it's exactly what the title promises. Leprechaun perched above the reels, rainbow arching across green meadows, pot of gold imagery, coloured gems for the high pays. Nothing reinvented, but it doesn't need to be. If you want a no-nonsense Irish slot with serious top-end potential and a feature that genuinely changes how the game plays, this old-timer earns its spot in the lobby.
