Golden Genie and the Walking Wilds is one of those Nolimit City releases that predates the studio leaning hard into the xMechanic shock-and-awe era. August 2019, family-safe Arabian Nights theme, 5 reels, 3 rows, 20 fixed paylines. The reel frame is a carved gold palace arch with green side banners reading GOLDEN and GENIE, set against a starry desert night with mountain silhouettes. Princess in a blue veil, Aladdin in a red turban, a Sultan with a sword, plus a cobra, a cheetah, the magic Lamp and the usual A K Q J 10 lows in golden Arabic-style type.

The blue-turbaned Genie pulls double shift as both Wild and Scatter on the same icon. It substitutes for everything except the Bonus, and three or more anywhere on the grid also kicks off the headline Genie Parade. One Genie turns Golden carrying a multiplier, and from that point it shuffles one reel to the left every spin. Each step bumps its own multiplier by one, plus a +1 on every other Genie on screen, so multiple Genies stack their values and add them onto line wins. When the Golden Genie walks off reel 1 the value jumps to the closest remaining Genie. If nothing is there to catch it, the multiplier sits parked until the next Genie shows up.

Genie Wishes is the base-game trigger that needs an Aladdin to land immediately left of a Lamp. Specific positional alignment, not just both on the screen somewhere. Every Aladdin and Lamp then flips Wild, and every paying symbol picks up a random per-symbol multiplier of x2, x3, x4, x5 or x10. Genie Lamps is the random one. Reels 2 and 4 fill end to end with the Lamp Wild and the grid pays both ways for that single drop. There is also a Genie Parade Feature Buy at a 2% RTP haircut, the only buy in the game.

The honest critique: official RTP is not posted in the help screens, which makes this one of those releases where you are taking the studio on faith. Volatility is flagged HIGH on the splash, the maths is built around Parade stacking, and without a published return number the buy option is a bit of a leap. Still, the walking-wild mechanic is a clean piece of design for the pre-xMechanic catalogue.
