The clearest tell that this one is from 2016 is the Jackpot Race meter ticking in the top corner. It reads in euros, sits next to a brass gramophone icon, and it doesn't behave like a normal progressive. There is no symbol combination that drops it. It is a scheduled race window on the operator's clock, and the top two finishers across that window split the pot 60/40. Any spin at 0.10 or above qualifies. The displayed pot during testing hovered around 8,142 EUR and ticked up roughly a euro between spins, which is the entire pitch for loading this cabinet over Habanero's other prohibition entries from the same era.

The base game underneath is plain 25-line math on a 5×3 grid. Three or more gramophone Scatters anywhere open the bonus path, and the path itself branches. You get a pick screen of mafia portraits hiding cash multipliers between 3x and 50x stake, you take a few, you eventually hit a stop symbol, and you back out. Or you uncover a Free Spins door instead, which runs with a flat 3x multiplier applied to every win during the round. One trigger, two completely different sessions depending on what you choose. There is no Buy Feature, no Super Bet, no ante slider. This is a 2016 release, and it predates all of those conventions.

Symbol-wise it leans into the genre without flinching. A pinstripe-suited Don with cigar and fedora sits at top pay, next to a sharp-dressed hitman with a .45 revolver and a card sharper with a fan of spades. The mid-pays drop into props: a Thompson submachine gun, a whiskey bottle next to an ashtray, a matte-black 1920s Cadillac, a stack of dollar bills bound with twine. Card royals 9 through A wear a vintage tabloid serif stamped in distressed gold. Behind the reels, peeling brownstone walls, brass street lamps in amber pools, Art Deco silhouettes against a smoky purple sky. The 97.1% RTP is generous for a lines slot of this vintage. The downside is the visible jackpot in the corner that you might never finish high enough to claim. That is the trade.
