Gameplay Screenshots

The demo opens onto a quiet main street in a fictionalised version of South Dakota's old gold-rush town, telegraph poles leaning sideways and a hand-painted Deadwood Saloon Best Porkchops West of New York sign propped against the reel cabinet. The frame itself is a bronze block of carved letters, the xNudge badge sitting top-right, and the grid uses the studio's unusual 3-4-4-4-3 row layout rather than a flat rectangle. Outer reels are three high, middle reels are four high, which works out to 576 ways by simple multiplication.

Two booster mechanics carry the base game. The Hunter Wild is a four-row stacked cowboy that only ever lands on reels 2, 3 and 4, and whenever it touches the visible area it nudges into full view. Each nudge step adds +1 to the multiplier on whichever payway uses it, and where two of these Wilds end up on the same line their multipliers add rather than multiply against each other. A +3 and a +2 resolve as x5, not x6. Reels 1 and 5 are reserved for a different symbol entirely, the Sheriff Badge, and landing one on each outer reel at the same time fires the Shoot Out drop, turning every low symbol on the centre three reels into a Wild for that single spin.

Three Scatters drop you into a fork rather than a fixed bonus. Gunslinger Spins runs 8 rounds with the middle reel's lows converted to Wilds for steadier hits. Hunter Spins runs 8 rounds with at least one xNudge Hunter Wild guaranteed every spin and a sticky multiplier that has no cap and carries from the first nudge to the final spin. The in-game help is bluntly honest about the better choice: Hunter Spins is the maths-optimal route. The wrinkle is that two Sheriff Badges arriving inside either mode lock them in place and convert the round into Shoot Out Gunslinger or Shoot Out Hunter Spins, where Shoot Out fires on every remaining spin and the centre reels run as a wall of low-to-Wild conversion. Two Badges plus three Scatters in the base game jumps straight there with 10 spins instead of 8.

The buy menu is just two rungs. The cheaper option at -2% from baseline picks one of the standard free-spin modes, while the Shoot Out buy at -3% drops you into the upgrade tier with Badges already locked. Maths doesn't change, only the entry point. One legitimate criticism: the choice between Gunslinger and Hunter is largely cosmetic once you read the help screen and realise the studio has effectively told you which one to pick. A bit more daylight between the two would have given the mode select more weight.
